Relocate Sprinklers

Hi. Our underground sprinkler zones have 1" pipe running between the heads and 1/2” pipe tapping off about 8" to feed each head. Each zone has 4 heads.
I'd like to move several heads 6 ft. to 8 ft. Will the head work ok if I remove the 8" nipple and tap off 8 feet with 1/2” pipe to the new head location? Or should I run 1" pipe the 8 ft. to the new locations?
Any thoughts will be appreciated

Not enough is known or ervealed about any of your parameters related to flow requirements of the heads, throw, coverage and pressure range.
You should go ahead and do it to see if it works.

Use 1” and you know it’ll probably work.
