Quick Plumbing Question

Just hung curtain over window with screws. Would I know right away if I hit a pex water line or could the screw “seal” the water line until the screw rusted out or later removed?

I have seen them seal in copper pipes and not know until the screw was later removed so I would think it could happen on a pex line . Remove the screw and find out .

if you hit the water line with a screw, chances are good that i will not leak. till the screw rusts
or it could be a gusher.

it really could go either way

It would be highly unlikely to find waterlines above windows due to the way a window is framed. And depending on your location, water lines in outside walls may be even more rare if you have freezing conditions
