Hi, My 2 hp pump output threaded 1 1/2” PVC adapter seems to work great for about six months and then just comes out of the pump. The threads seem to get smaller because they don’t seem damaged. I also don’t noticed any over heating. Could it be the vibration of the pump. It is sitting directly on a concrete pad. Thanks for any ideas.

I think you mean a barbed hose adapter, correct? If so, metal ones are available, might solve the problem. If you're connecting ridged pvc directly to a pump you probably need to have a piece of rubber hose in between to isolate the vibration.
