I live in a suburb of Los Angeles connected to municipal water. In the last few days I noticed that anytime water is running in our home it pulses. There is a water pressure regulator at the front of the house & you can really hear it out there. I think it’s the regulator but wanted the opinion of some who may have experienced the same thing.

34 years old & I’ve had it for 17 years. I’m betting the PRV has never been changed. I’ll pick up a pressure gauge tonight & check it out.

I hooked up the pressure gauge & it said 90 psi. It’s rated 25-75. I think it’s safe to say it’s no good.
