Hi there,
I'm in Michigan and am DIYing a basement bathroom. I've got a question regarding the proper fitting for my setup.

In the attached, you can see my proposed layout. Everything will be plumbed horizontally. In red, I'm wondering if I can use a 3x3x3x1.5" sanitary tee (product) on it's side with the left 1.5" inlet connecting my shower/tub (see attached). I am planning a 3" vent coming up through the wall as I am connecting to an existing 3" stack for venting. I am wondering if this fitting can be used and will provide enough "sweep" to properly drain the shower/tub.

Thanks for the help!

Not in my area under UPC. The only way that fitting is allowed in the drainage system is with the run of the tee vertical and the side inlet is drainage pattern not straight pattern meaning the side inlet has directed flow built in, even then it's not ideal.

You could use a 3x3x3x2 combo with right side inlet pointing up for the vent connection and a reducer for the tub connection.
