plumber came and cut our old washer dryer pipes, but was only able to remove a few feet before then went under the subfloor. He said there is a small risk of bacteria in these ends if water is stagnant but didn’t seem to offer any other thoughts or solutions. Is this worth trying to take up subfloor and cut the lines further/see where the T is? We are on well water. We thought about adding a filter/separate drinking water faucet to the cold water pipe as a potential solution as we will have a sink very near to these pipes, but that still leaves the hot water pipe cut as is. Any ideas for solutions?
