I’m going to replace a 3/4 pex ball valve feeding my water heaters . My whole house is pex, different fastening types throughout. I’m trying to decide on crimp rings versus compression rings. Any insight would be appreciated…….Thanks in advance.

When you crimp do you upsize the pipe due to the smaller ID on the fittings, just wondering.

I don’t. But don’t use 1,000 fittings trying to “ make it look like art “. It’s meant to installed using the least amount of fittings or keep the fittings to a minimum.

If you over size hot water pipe without out recirculating it, it’s a longer purge to get your hot water.

We have good water pressure in my area, 60-80 psi.
