Old Bathroom Sink Demo

Hello I am trying to add a new p-trap to my bathroom sink plumbing but it has a very old set up and im not sure how to get rid of it. I have attached pictures below.

I tried twisting with a vice grip but the pipe is so old it punctured slightly.

Hard to see but I think that's soldered close to the wall what ever it is you gotta open the wall, to repipe I think your water is galvanized pipe, is this the 1st floor should be removed and repiped the same with the drain do it now before the drain rots out and the water line clog because of age
