Odd “wound up spin noise” when snaking bathroom sink

I was snaking my daughters bathroom sink, the snake hit something around 18-20ft. With some rotation, it would get through but would make a zinging noise (almost like there is a wound up fan in the pipe that got released). The pipes were perfect clean, but I was able to get this same sound two or three times. Any ideas? Are they putting some sort of fan vents inside pipes and this one seized (and I released it) or something?

Probably the cable wadding up on itself.

I wouldn’t worry about it if you were able to get the cable out.
