So I recently moved into a house and one of the things I noticed when doing the walkthrough was the tub drain looked absolutely horrendous. The area around the drain has been water damaged to the point that it's black. On top of that it continues to rust. I managed to replace the old drain with a new push stop drain but the drain isn't wide enough to sit in there flush so water sits around the rim and just builds up rust. I've tried finding a wider drain but everywhere I look I get the same answer American drains are all the same size. Take a look at the pictures I'm attaching and hopefully let me know what steps I can take. Thanks in advance.
