My little girl standing next to her (my) newest project.:D
It has a bit of rust that will need to plasmaed out and replaced.
On the plus side it has a nice 350 Chevy already in it.
So far it seems mechanical sound, now all I need is a gas tank. Someone tried to patch the tank with some screws and bondo, yea it leaks.

that thing is freakin sweet. do you have any doors or top for it?

It has a soft top and doors, but the braces that hold the top up were lost some time ago. I'm going to find a hard top for it after the body work is done.

Let me know if you need any parts, I may have stuff laying around you can have.

Thank you havasu, shes going to be alot of work. I don't think you ever stop trying to makem better, and then they up and move out on ya.
The jeep will be fun too....lol

Chris, I could use a gas tank....lol

Na, you never lose your beautiful daughter, you just gain a SOB who doesn't want to get a job!

Some new wheels and a paint job and you would have one nice looking jeep. Keep the pics coming on your progress.

Any updates? My jeep has been sitting in the garage with a broken U-bolt for a month. I am lazy.

Im some-what lazy myself..lol
I did paint it flat black, doesn't show the rust as bad...
Found me a gas tank and got it going, maken sure it is mechanically sound, sofar sogood.
I am on the hunt for some 40" tires and wheels.
With a 350 sbc as a power plant, my one concern are them small u-joints.
My last jeep had 36's with a 258ci and did real good for me.

I will keep yall up dated. cant wait to get them big ol tares on there..woohoo

Man, the more I dig into this thing, the more I have to do.
Does anyone have a cj7 body and frame for sale?...lol...no, really.

On a better note. I did get it tagged and insured the other day. Been driven it all over the place.
The motor, trans, and the 4x4 all work great. It just looks like hell.

I will more than likely, recover them. I have some cloth seats I could use, but
I am not so sure about using the cloth ones.
After starting to do some body work, I found more than I hoped it needed.
There is lots of sad patch jobs that have been done through the years.
I am going too have to replace the tub to make it the way I want.

Get a YJ tub, they are identical but probably in better shape and easier to come by.

That is an idea.
I started looking for info on the net, and found lots of good stuff.
It looks like a simple swap.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I know a guy out here that has a 95 tub and frame in perfect condition cheap. Also it's a jeep, it will be like changing the blade on a lawn mower shouldn't take much time at all.
