Our septic tank guy did this pitiful job mounting the septic alarm on a 2 by 6 about four feet away from our house. Unfortunately, the installer died before he could come back and install it properly.

With that being said, I’d like to properly mount it on the exterior brick wall. I will have to extend the wires connected to the septic system from the alarm. Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to do this.?

Attached is a picture of the current situation and a then a screenshot from a video of what I’d like for it to look like.

thanks,

Matt Parker

You’ll have to extend the wires in water tight junction box then mount the box to the wall.

Yes, I’m planning on splicing the wires to extend to a water tight junction box also mounted on the brick wall.

Yes, thank you. I am planning on splicing the wires to make them long enough to reach a water tight junction box where the current outlet is. It’s just a normal GFCI outlet that I’d like to replace with the junction box.
