Moen vs. Grohe

Greetings,

I've had two Pro plumbers advise me to lose my Grohe Shower Set in favor of a Moen model, claiming there's a chance it will be more difficult, or perhaps impossible, to get replacement parts for a Grohe set down the road. I got the Grohe set at a clearance price, but now I'm wondering if they unloaded it on me. The Pros say the Moen products are simpler to use, easier to install, and parts carry a lifetime guarantee.

Thoughts, opinions?

Yeh, I’m a Moen guy and they are right for the right application. That grohe valve probably dumps more GPM than the Moen which is 4.2-4.6. I just re built 2 grohe valves And it was speedy but, for their application the grohe was the right choice. If you are just doing a standard tub shower with spout and HAF then the Moen is a less expensive in the short term and the long haul.
