Hello,

I am having an issue removing the bonnet from my MOEN shower valve. I’ve removed the handle and the screw holding it in the valve stem. Unfortunately the bonnets stuck fast it will not come off. I’ve used a puller I picked up from Lowe’s but no luck. Does anyone know how I can break this Bonnet loose short of cutting it off?

Give Moen customer service a call.1-800-BUY-MOEN They will give you an email address to send that picture to (to determine the model), and offer some suggestions.
I've been doing this for 40+ years and don't recognize the model.

Try some penetrating oil right around the screw hole area, around the protruding shaft of the cartridge.

Then a few more doses every few hours, then wait overnight, and try handle puller again next day.

Looks like a Posi temp type valve to me.

Looks like an old Monticello model
