Is it possible to modify a faucet with a side-spray with a diverter that will allow only one or the other (spray OR faucet)? Usually letting up on the side-spray allows the faucet to continue to run. I want to divert the water to the sprayer ONLY. Specifically a faucet like this:

Thanks!

Not possible with the type of faucet you want. Frodo's pic of a commercial pre-rinse faucet would be the only way to accomplish what you wish. Do not waste any more time thinking about it, it can not be done.
