I have nearly no water pressure from my kitchen faucet until I turn on my hose sprayer. After I squirt it, the faucet pressure returns to normal. What could be causing this?

I did all the installations myself and they have worked well for seven years, just had problems recently.
I may have enough knowledge myself to fix if someone can tell me what is wrong! LOL!

I have made sure all my supply lines are completely in the on position.
I have cleaned the aerator on the kitchen faucet.

Thanks for any ideas. I don't want to have to disconnect the hose sprayer as I use it to rinse dishes and clean up.

Is the hose sprayer part of the faucet? If so, it just might be easier to replace the entire faucet than to rebuild it.

Did you just put the faucet in? If not, i would recommend replacing the entire thing unless it's relatively new. It's just about the same work to repair it as it's going to be to fix it.
