We purchased a home last year and during the home inspection the inspector was not able to locate the main drain in the basement likely because it was covered by the flooring. Seeing as this is a serious issue, how can I go go about locating the main drain without ripping out the flooring?

Hire someone with a line camera and location equipment.
We use a Seasnake line camera with a transmitter in the camera head and a Rigid electronic locator that can pinpoint the camera. It will also tell me how deep the line is as well.
