I need to replace the Linkage Assembly in our tubs overflow tube. The overflow tube is PVC and the old plunger is plastic. The new Linkage Assembly I bought has a brass plunger. Is it okay to use a brass plunger inside a pvc overflow tube??? Or do I need to have a plastic plunger?

take the plastic plunger off and put it on the new linkage
