Quick question: after replacing the pump motor on my LG dishwasher, i learned the hard way that my drain hose was cracked. I went to HD and bought a GENERIC replacement hose. Upon installing [bypassing everything; straight from the pump to my sink drain {high loop}] I find I need to "toke" on the hose a bit, as if i am siphoning gas from a car, once I toke i hear the motor kick in and all water vacates properly [into a large pot]. did i mess up by going generic with my replacement hose? thanks for any insight
