I had to shut off the water (hot and cold) under my kitchen sink in order to fix a leaking faucet. When I turned the water back on under the sink both were seeping around the bonnet nut. I tightened the bonnet nuts down as much as I could but there is some seepage. Are stem repair kits a good way to repair these? If so, any preferred brands?
Thank You.

Turn the handle back in a touch and find the sweet spot. It should stop leaking.

The valves have patina on them which makes it difficult to see the markings. I'll clean them and see if I can get the manufacturer name. In the meantime I'll just try to add some graphite packing .
Thank You.
