We have been unable to get a consistent answer from Kohler about an installation we are trying to use.
We are installing combination tub and shower
Want to use a Kohler K 2973 Stacked Valve combination thermostatic valve and flow control.
Trying to feed this into a K-9663 double Ell elbow
With one line going to the tub where we would install a diverter spout and another going up to a shower riser.
https://www.us.kohler.com/webassets/kpna/catalog/pdf/en/085755_2.pdf
This instruction makes it seem possible, though it includes separate thermostatic and flow control valves rather than a single stacked valve.
My wife called Kohler and she was told that this was possible with the single stacked valve turned upside down. I heard that this was OK from one Kohler tech support person, then another person told me that the single stacked valve could not be run upside down and that I had to install separate thermostatic and flow control valves.
Anyone BTDT that can confirm whether I can use the stacked valve mentioned above?
Thanks,
Marc
