Wife informed me that the kitchen sink drain was plugged last night. drove over to Lowes to get a 50 foot snake and proceeded to manually try to clear the drain line. I could feel the blockage, then I would go thru it. Ran hot water down and the drain replugged. Light bulb went off, I got out the wet dry vac, plugged the sink with the stopper and proceeded to suck out gobs of nastiness . Ran water down and drain is now clear. Don't know if the snake helped at all.

I'm sure it was a combination of both, I just got home from work, and basically did the same thing, I had 2 bathroom sinks connected to the same drain so I vaccumed out all of the water, them opened the wall above the the wall
took it apart the ty and snaked it I'm sure the snake did most of the work but by vaccumi g the drain I'm sure you disturbed it
