Is this P trap acceptable?

I'm concerned it has too much rise after the dip.

That’s not correct but from the pic angle I can’t tell exactly the best way to correct it
 
I was thinking I could raise the P trap higher onto the down pipe that comes out of the disposal which would also reduce the vertical height after the P trap, hopefully to ~4". Maybe getting rid of that little vertical extension of pipe after the P trap.

You have a mess. You need to cut it out and start over.

Post another pic showing the piping near the back of the cabinet.
 
Here are two more photos with slightly different angles. One of them was while I was fixing a leak (which is how I noticed this unusual configuration) and has section of pipe is missing which I then replaced.

Thanks! in addition to the venting, should I also be concerned about the rise distance after the P? I think I read somewhere that it was supposed to be no more than 4" from the bottom of the P to the bottom of the horizontal section after the P.
