Installing Two Shower Heads

In our bathroom remodel, we want to install a two shower head system (no tub). One will be the wall/hand held and the other will be an overhead rain type head coming through the ceiling. The usage will be one or the other, not both. The walls will be open.

Trying to get info on types of valves needed to do this and any other help you may want to offer. Any diagrams out there? I know how to sweat copper but is there plastic that will work well?
