An occasional DIY, was looking for where to put the temperature sensor for my hot water recirculating pump, and came across the Plumbing Forum.

Under the farthest faucet away from the water heater, or under the faucet that quick hot water is needed the most.

"For use with Grundfos UP Series single speed 115V domestic circulator pumps. Pump turns on at 105°F and turns off at 115°F"
I have a dedicated recirculation line. Found the recommended location in the "fine print". Can be on either side of the Grundfos pump. So I put it upstream and it seems to be doing its job. Thanks.
