For example, using a caliper, the OD of a CPVC pipe measures 0.8 inch. If this pipe is a CTS CPVC, it will be nominal 3/4" (0.8 is within the measuring error of 0.75), but if this pipe is a regular CPVC, then it is going to be nominal 1/2" (for both schedule 40 and 80, the OD is 0.84" for a nominal 1/2" pipe). So without knowing whether it is CTS, how do you tell whether it is nominal 1/2" or 3/4"?

Unless it is gray sch80, all CPVC, I thought, was CTS.

I thought CTS stood for a “company time $hit”.
As in crapping while on the clock.
