I realize this is an HVAC question, but hopefully someone can help.

I ordered a replacement motor for the zone damper in the attached pictures.

I appears I will have to remove the damper from the duct in order to replace the motor. I took two screws out and I don't know what to do next.

What are the clips for? Do I need to remove them?

Does the damper pull straight out or does it slide out to the side?

Thanks!
