Rule #3.
When fixing a 2 handle faucet fix, both sides at the same time. :)

Why would you do that when you can save $11 on one and the other is fine.

Anyways, I bought it for the other side, and the problem is fixed now! :D

Well, we'll see how it is a couple days from now.

Professionally speaking, You hire me for $100/hr
I fix just the cold. The hot starts dripping after I leave.
CALL BACK? " Hey!! It's still leaking!" I come back out and charge you another $100/hr to fix the hot. NOT a callback.
Who's gonna be  and who's gonna be :D
Fix them both the first time. Then if it's still leaking after I leave, I come back and fix it for free.

If there are any closed fixtures above this shower that are closed, its going to take forever for it to stop dripping since there are pipes filled with water above. Many times old valves will shut down the water almost completely but dont create 100% seal. Try turning a little harder in the off position it may need snugged a little to stop completely. if not cut the pipe and throw a shark bite or compression valve on the main as a quick fix since your taking on a little water.
