EDIT: To better explain, I don't believe that a drop ear was ever installed. It basically looks like a tub faucet pipe. See the pictures for more details. Would hate to have to remove tiles.

I am fixing up a bathroom and the showerline that was installed is just a copper pipe sticking out of the wall. I cannot seem to come up with a good solution to add the normal shower angle extension.

Bascially I want a more finished look and a better angle for the shower head. Any advice?

Also the pipe does not screw into fixture behind the tile, which was what I was hoping, its just sodered copper

In order to have a chrome shower arm and head like you want you will have to put a drop ear 90 in the wall. If
that is drywall now is the time to cut it out and do the job like it should have been done by the other installer.
