Good evening! We had to shut off our well pump because we have two tears in the plastic piping. The well guy is coming out tomorrow...but we were told we could keep the furnace on as it is a tankless system forced hot water base board heating - and it is not connected to that. Where does the water come from for this type of system. Sorry - but I'm trying to educate myself on this stuff because I'm kind of freaking out and don't want to ruin anything else!!

the water for your baseboard hydronic heat comes from the same water you drink.

but, the hydronic system is a closed system, water is fed to it only when it needs it thru a valve caled a "make up water" valve

it is ok to go ahead and use your heat. temporary, till your water line is fixed
