Sorry, newb here. Have been googling and youtubing, hopefully you are willing to help.
Flange was metal/pvc combo. Metal is rusted out where the closet bolts hold the toilet down. Don't think there is enough room for me to install those quarter circle repair kit pieces bc the rest of the flange is not totally rusted out. Similarly, not sure i could get the rest of the rusted metal part out without causing damage to the pvc (not sure if that metal part could just come right out if I moneyed with it long enough? Feels pretty tight/secure), or get anything underneath.
Thought about the superior super ring but not sure that'll be ok. Bottom of toilet looks too small + the ring would sit on top of flange too so it'd raise the toilet up a bit. But when I dry fit it against the bottom of the toilet I don't think it'll fit over it. See how the base of the toilet hits the metal on each corner...
Top of flange is flush with finished floor, laid vinyl on plywood.
Anywyays not sure what to do. Do you have any suggestions please?
The guy before me must've dealt with it, but he just used long screws and screwed the toilet directly down to the floor to fix... but that failed.
