Is it direct vent? Most gas type heaters are not approved for bedrooms. Carbon monoxide poisoning. I personally couldn’t sleep at night worrying about it. Make sure you have CO2 detectors in there.
Yep, if it’s not direct vent it’s a no go in bedrooms. Besides the carbon monoxide issue, gas needs oxygen to burn and will suck all the oxygen out of the bedroom. Is it direct vent? ohhhWatch answering any of this guy's questions. This is just one of the many threads he has posted on here: https://www.plumbingforums.com/threads/sub-metering.6064/
im gonna put a question out there....do you guys think we should be giving advice about natural gas or propane I done feel comfortable doing it....thanks just was on my mind
and its only my opinion
in mass we just ...in October had a trained tech somehow put high pressure gas int homes in 3 different towns ...8000 homes were effected people were out of their homes until last week that mistake killed 2 people all gass appliances have to be replaces there were multiple fires if a professional can make that mistake what can an un trained homeowner do...….I used to refuse to talk about it
BUT, home owners can buy flex gas line at any hardware store now.
So even though I do not think it is a good idea for a home owner to run a gas line
They are going to do it any way,
I might as well try and nudge them in the direction of installing it correctly
