Float tree

I can not find any information anywhere about where floats should be located on a float tree..

We have a float tree with a vertical float switch and jb alarm. Based off our our old set up we had the following

Vertical float switch: 18” from bottom of pipe with 4” of slack
Jb alarm:6” from float switch with 3” slack

We have had issues with our sump pumps and making sure we are not running this too much..

You want the pump to cut off leaving the top of the pump submerged.

You want the alarm float to be set a few inches below your inlet pipe.

How many floats do you have ? Just two ?
