hi All,

I got the toilet off the floor only to discover the flange (pvc) on the floor is busted up. I can't take it up because it's glued to inside of drain pipe.

Any ideas?

I can email pic if someone can post it in a reply.

Thx,
Wilkc

Aren't there also some sort of flange patch/extender type things? Another flange sans pipe that has a gasket in between and can be set on top? Or would that not work in this case?

Yes there are flange repair kits. The only thing with using these is that there has to be enough of the original flange left to be able to anchor the repair kit down and that it's not rotting away even more. No point in anchoring into an something already rotting.

I would not attempt any type of flange repair on that. If it was just an outer edge, sure. But that's beyond any band-aid. Replace it and guarantee yourself leak free.

LOL. I stand corrected. :)

Well, its better that I know now.
