I'm re-doing a basement bathroom built in 1950. It has a drum trap, in a concrete floor. Is it a good idea to go ahead and replace it with a p-trap? Should I use brass, or PVC for this application? It is in a corner, and after the tub is in place and the tiling re-done there is no access to the plumbing.

Thanks, I have seen a lot of your posts so I know you are an expert, I will take your advice and replace the trap with PVC.
