Last weekend I replaced the shower arm, head and handle/valve stem. I noticed this morning that it’s dripping from the shower arm still for a long time after a shower (so far, I’ve noticed it does it almost a day after). It’s pretty slow dripping (like once every 5 seconds). Does anyone know why? All of the o rings and valve trim is brand new.

When this happens to me

I turn the water back off
Take it all back apart
Check for trash in the valve
If no trash is found I install a new cartridge.

If that doesn’t repair it I might take it back apart and have someone turn the water back on without the cartridge as a last attempt to find debris. Just depends on situation.

If all fails I just replace the entire faucet.

All the advice above is right on.

Also, some shower faucet valves have two parts.

A mixing cartridge, and then a pressure balancing module which is deeper inside the valve body.

If you have both, you need to change both, or the drip can be caused by the pressure balancing module which was not replaced.
