Hi - renovated a house recently and had the old toilet pulled, the drain pipes under the floor redone to add a shower connection to the toilet, they both share a drain pipe now. The old pipes in the wall were from the 1970's and are cast iron. I'm not sure if they were clogged at all as one of the pipes we had to replace elsewhere was almost fully closed. My contractor handled it without me seeing before it was closed up. The toilet took fluid just fine but once solid waste went down it clogged. It was plunged, but the toilet doens't flush right now and stuff is coming back up in the toilet. Wondering if the pipe needs to be snaked or what.
