I am trying to replace the diverter valve on my shower. The nut that sits sub flush to the tile is stripped and I can't get it loosened. Any suggestions on how to get the nut removed?

sorry. so if you have a deep socket of the correct size and the entire nut is rounded...you may need to replace the entire shower valve from the front or behind.

Can you show pictures of the valve, if you could use a socket on it an it's rounded, could you try those sockets that are made to remove stripped or rounded bolts?????
