Dielectric unions were used above my hot water heater with copper on both sides.

I recently purchased this house. The idea probably was to make it easier to replace the hot water heater by having unions present.

Now I see however the unions are corroding. Should I jumper across the unions to create a common ground connection?

If so, how should it be jumpered, above the unions between hot and cold, or connect all 4 points together?

See the attached image. Thanks in advance for the help.

doesnt appear to be a D-electric union, do not see the tell tail plastic isolator

and the top looks to be copper. dielectric is not copper x copper

remove and replace with a "regular" copper union
