Connecting stainless to copper.

I am replacing a manifold in a radiant heat system. The new manifold is SS and comes with a SS ball valve with threaded male connection. Can I connect this to the copper female threaded fittings that attached to my old manifold or will I make trouble for myself? If I cannot directly connect them, what do I need to do to make the proper connections?

Hi Matt,

Normally to connect copper to SS you would add a brass fitting/nipple.

you can add a union to connect manifolds like that using brass fittings
