hi,
i was wondering what the preferred tool would be to clean smaller lines such as sinks, bathtubs etc. I know there are handheld tools like the super Vee, as well as units that sit on the floor with a guide hose, like the Rigid K40. What are the pros and cons of either tool? which do you prefer and why?

thanks

well,an electric snake for sure. drill type is what i use,it is just what i got used to. one quater inch cable is common for tubs and sinks, three eights or one half inch for kitchen sinks.

Hello,

I agree with the dunriteplumbing. Electric snake is used for the drain cleaning. This is the best tool for that.

Regards,
Olivia

I actually prefer a hand cranked snake for small lines. It allows you to "feel" when you reach a clog, and also eliminates the chance of twisting the cable up inside the pipe.
