I am trying to couple a clay (ceramic) pipe to PVC but when I measured the inner diameter of the clay pipe it was 3 3/4" and not 4". So I figured that this was probably considered a 4" pipe but when I bought a 4" Clay to 4" PVC No Hub connector it was really a sloppy fit. The outer diameter of the clay pipe is 5" and the diameter of the No Hub connector is 5 1/4"...Is there a No Hub connector that is more snug fitting to fit this pipe or can I just use this one and tighten it until it's snug?

Thank you
Brian

Those should be fine if tightened properly but if you talk to a clay supplier they will have a donut that fits inside the rubber coupling to make a cleaner transition to the PVC.

If you cant find the donut that fits inside..look for a four strap transition coupler
