I had a plumber come out & replace the cast iron under the house. He rerouted the sewer pipe along side of the garage. He did replace the cast iron y-pipe& vent pipe. He claims that vent pipe.needs to be replaced.? This does not make sense not sure why a hub connector cannot be used. The vent pipe probably needs to supported. But not sure why a bracket cannot be used. He also did not replace the sewer pipe in the garage. He connected from the sewer line to the new outside line. I am considering extending sewer pipe by the side of the house. This waybI can connect the pipe so.it goes under the house. The only problem is the vent pipe connector is to close to the garage wall. So would have to install a angled pipe. Doing so would allow to move pipe connectors back so I have sufficient room for a right angle pipe.
