Hi,
I have a 3 knob bathtub, and its been leaking by. I'm pretty sure its the hotwater side since when I turn the hot water off at the water heater, the leaks stops. Might possibly also be a small leak at the diverter since the tub faucet never turns completely off when switched over to the shower head.
Anywho, after researching on the internets on how to fix this, I attempted to disassemble the valves and replace the rubber washers in the hopes of a cheap fix. even got some of those fancy shower valve sockets. BUT upon taking it apart as much as I can, I dont actually see the nut I'm supposed to turn. Hard to see in the picture but it looks like there MIGHT be a nut pretty far back there, but theres a pipe or something ( I assume the one that goes from the hot water side to the diverter valve) in the way. I cant figure out how to get these things out! I'll attach some pictures and hope theyre clear enough to work with.
Also attached a picture of the diverter valve, and the cold water knob taken apart, in the hopes yall might be able to figure out the brand.
More info; the house was built in 1968.
Thanks for any and all input and advice!
