Can't access valve on bathroom sink!?!

I'm going slightly crazy trying to figure how to replace or repair a leaky valve on my bathroom sink. There is no screw or other apparent way to remove handles to get at valve or replace washer, etc. Unfortunately, I do not know what brand the faucet is. Here are a couple of pix. Thanks.

Can you get to the bottom of the valve? Is that a pedestal sink that it is attached to?

yes, i can get it to it from below. do i have to remove the entire faucet assembly from the sink?

Check for a allen screw down at the base of the handle.

No ... there's no allen screw or other sort of set screw. It was a good idea though.

I would replace the entire faucet... They aren't very expensive.. Might save more time and headache in the long run trying to "fix" this one!
