I have a 65 gallon Bradford White water heater, and the Honeywell gas valve controller is showing the five flashes/three second pause which means a bad temperature sensor. I had a plumber replace the temperature sensor, turn the water heater off and back on, and then turn up the temperature. For about 10 minutes, I have the standard one flash meaning that it is running normally. It runs for about 10 minutes (I can see the flame through the little window) but after about 10 minutes it stops running again and the five flashes/three second pause cycle. So we have a brief period of hot water then lukewarm again. Any ideas? Do I need a new gas valve? Thanks.

You either have another bad part or the control is bad.

Honeywell sucks
