Im trying to help my mom out with her bath. I am trying to replace the bath faucet that wasn’t working right and it was loose. Today I found out why it’s loose. I unscrewed it and the black pipe that is connected to the main bath line broke off when I unscrewed it. It’s plastic so it must have eroded. So I’m trying to get the plastic part that is left unscrewed and broken on the water line. Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried with pliers and I’m not getting a lot of luck.

They make a tool called an easy out. You will need a 1/2". You tap it into the broken pipe and then turn it
counterclockwise to unscrew it out.

If you try anything else be careful you don't damage the threads you want to be screwing into later.
