Hi,

I have been finishing my basement and have some concerns about how to plumb the sink. My bathroom is tiled and the drain for the sink is rough plumbed.

Question is how to properly installed the P-trap or if S-trap is needed. Also, is it already vented or do I need to vent it somehow?

Any tips are much needed and welcome.

And if you can't tell if don't know a damn thing more about plumbing than putting in a toilet. Ha.

My guess is I just hook this baby uo...P-trap and voila. Nothing special. Either way if it looks like I'm about to eff up big time please let me know.

If you hook a p trap up to it without a vent, you have an s trap, and a code violation. You will want to hook up an air admittance valve or run a vent pipe to the roof
