Anyone recognize this faucet and know how to disassemble the valve? Hot water valve is not shutting off fully and shows some black gunk on the stem. I pried off the cap, loosened the slotted-head screw underneath. But pulling up on the handle, it doesn't feel like it is going to budge. I could pull harder but I don't want to break it out of ignorance...
I haven't been able to remove the screw completely. No way to grip it. Tried a magnet, but it didn't feel like it was sticking to the screw at all. Maybe a brass or SS screw? But I am confident it is fully backed out.
No set screw from the side that I can see.
I tried unscrewing that bell shaped portion (escutcheon?) but the whole body spun in the countertop until the fitting below the counter hit the one next to it.
There is a big plastic nut under the counter. I really hope that isn't the answer because access would be awful.
Thanks in advance!
