Hey folks I have a question perhaps someone here is willing to answer. I have a cast iron stack that has a copper pipe connected to it. I want to replace this with PVC. How do I remove the copper. There is a ring( not sure the technical term) around the copper that interfaces the copper to cast.
1. Hw best to remove that ring? Does it just pull up once I cut the copper pipe?
2. What do I need to interface PVC with the cast. I am not cutting cast at all.

Thanks for any help
Jim
